If you need to amend your order for example to change a paint colour choice contact us by phone as soon as possible. We will do what we can to accommodate your requirements, however once the item is in production we cannot always make alterations.
If there is a problem with your order please contact us as soon as possible and we will do our best to address the issue.
Lead times and Delivery
All our furniture is made to order. We always try to fulfil your order within the lead times specified but lead times may vary during busy times and due to other variables outside our control. We will contact you to arrange delivery. We generally deliver items ourselves and our driver is often single handed and will need help to unload. We cannot deliver without a contact telephone number on which we can reach you on the day of delivery and someone there to receive the goods and able to give appropriate help to unload and get them into the house. We will do our best to deliver at a time and date convenient to you and as arranged and to keep you updated regarding the estimated time of arrival. If you are not available at the delivery address or we can’t contact you as arranged on the day and the delivery cannot be made we will arrange to deliver again but you may be charged for a second delivery on a mutually agreed date.
It is your responsibility as the customer to ensure that the furniture that you have ordered will fit into your premises. Please check the dimensions and ensure that it is possible to get the furniture in, taking account of garden gates and fences, door widths, hallways and staircases etc. If you are concerned phone us and we can advise. We usually deliver tables with the tops separate from the frames, but the frames are usually in one piece. We can however often adapt furniture to fit where necessary for example, we can make table frames in four pieces to be put together in the home, but this will need to be requested. If we arrive to deliver your furniture and it will not fit in the premises we may have to charge you for adaptations and re-delivery, but we will do our best to find the best solution. Bed frames are delivered in component pieces, but on rare occasions there may be difficulty getting the bed head up a stair case if for example, the landing ceiling is very low If in doubt please ring us to discuss.
Care of your furniture
Wood is an organic product and may expand or contract in extreme temperature fluctuations and cause warping of the wood or gaps to appear. It is not advisable to have wooden furniture near to radiators or other heat sources or in direct sunlight for example in a conservatory. Our furniture has a protective coating on it, however hot items should not be placed on the table without suitable place mats or table mats. Place mats should not be left on the table all the time if the table top is exposed to sunlight or the sun may bleach the surrounding wood and leave a mark. Wood surfaces should be cleaned with a soft cloth dampened with water and painted wood should be cleaned in the same way for the first 3 weeks and after that should withstand scrubbing with a soft brush if necessary. The painted frame should be cleaned in the same way as painted table frames.
Our reclaimed timber products may contain chips, nicks, saw marks, some small splits, some nail / screw holes and other markings. These character enhancing marks do not affect the strength of the product.
We generally use the Farrow and Ball colour range for our painted items. If you want to see the true colour it is best to obtain a colour chart or a sample pot from Farrow and Ball as the images you will see on your computer or device screen are not a perfect representation. If you require a colour that we don’t have in stock or as advertised on the listed items on the website, or wish to use another brand of paint please let us know and we can order it. This may incur a modest extra charge depending on the value of the order. Please contact us for details.
The following items can't be returned, cancelled or exchanged
Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, We can't accept returns for:
- Customised, bespoke or personalised orders
- Items on sale or on special promotion
Conditions of return
Buyers are responsible for return delivery costs unless the item is damaged or defective. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.
